Grade Definition
1 Simple redness on the skin
2 Erythema, edema, sclerema, blisters, epidermal detachment
3 Skin loss with exposed fat layer
4 Skin necrosis including the fascia or muscle layer
5 Complete necrosis of skin, fat, and muscle layer
6 Bone attacks including periostitis, osteitis., osteomyelitis
7 Suppurative arthritis, including osteomyelitis, pathological fracture, dislocation of the joint, and a case of sepsis.
